Thanksgiving

I told myself I wasn't going to do it, like that would stop me! I really do feel like a stuffed turkey. Thanksgiving is a strange time. The whole day is supposed to be centered around gratitude, but really ends up being engulfed in a complex culinary ritual. I love getting together with all the relatives and cooking with my mom. It's wonderful to see everyone and feel the joy of a large loving family. This Thanksgiving was a bit different then ones past. The usual Aunts, Uncles, and cousins (along with their families) ended up down in Eugene. With grandma being bedridden, there was no way she could leave, meaning no way we could leave her. It was also sad to not be with Andrew. We got a chance to talk a bit, but it's not the same.
