Clutter? Not Me . . . Well . . . Maybe?

According to Wikipedia Clutter (referring only to the "organizing" type) is a type of excessive physical disorder or a "confusing or disorderly state or collection. Excessive, unnecessary or uncontrolled clutter can be a symptom of compulsive hoarding."

I bring this up because today in my home I found the following: 26 library books (all unread and due in the next week), 12 towels (in a household of 2), 16 cook books (never used), 5 pair of jeans that I haven't fit into since I got married, and a very unorganized junk drawer . . . I think Willow and I have a problem. I have never thought of myself as a clutter/hoarder type. Is it hereditary? I don't like to point fingers, but this cannot be something I'm to blame for, right? Was it my parent's fault? Did my wife bring this into our marriage!? Is it fixable, curable? It's driving me crazy!!

Take a look for yourself . . . but please, don't judge.

I don't think this is classic clutter that would be found in a hoarder's home--it looks to me to be quite organized.
12 towels sounds like heaven to me because then I could do laundry a little less often and 16 cook books, they might not be used now but they will be sometime I promise.
Your junk drawer looks waaay better than our junk bowl. So, I would say, in my professional opinion, you don't have a problem.
Though if I think it looks good then what does that say about me?
