Court of Criminal Appeals

Last week the highest criminal appellate court for the State of Oklahoma came to campus and conducted part of the trial of Mr. Fisher - who was appealing his death sentence. It was very interesting. After the oral argument between the prosecution and the defense each of the 4 justices (the 5th justice was not in attendance) took a classroom and had a breakout lunch Q/A session. I sat in with Justice Lumpkin. It was interesting to see his prospective on "arguments" and how to be a good attorney. He had a very strong Southern accent, and wore a nice pair of black cowboy boots. I wish all of you could have been there.

If you started speaking in a Scottish accent and wore black cowboy boots. . . .it'd be awesome.
